HOVR, is an innovative rideshare Startup, that’s set to revolutionize the Toronto transport scene with its unique membership model for drivers, allowing them to take home 100% of the fares they earn. This ground-breaking approach, which addresses the #1 issue in the rideshare industry today-low pay for drivers- not only empowers drivers, but also ensures riders pay less, fostering a more equitable ecosystem in the rideshare industry. The company's motto, "100% Fare is 100% Fair," encapsulates its commitment to fairness and community, challenging the status quo and offering a better experience for all stakeholders. By reimagining the rideshare framework, HOVR is poised to create a more balanced and supportive environment, enhancing the sense of community within the sector.

The brainchild of Harrison in 2019, a native of a small town in Nova Scotia, HOVR emerged from his personal experiences upon moving to Toronto in the summer of 2018. Relying heavily on rideshare services to navigate his new city, Harrison engaged in numerous conversations with drivers and fellow passengers, uncovering a common thread of dissatisfaction due to the lack of transparency in the industry. These interactions sowed the seeds for HOVR, as Harrison envisioned a platform that would prioritize fairness and transparency, ensuring that drivers are rewarded fairly for their services and passengers enjoy a more affordable and transparent experience. With Safety also being of great concern in the industry, HOVR is also committed to providing a safe and secure environment for both drivers and riders, and has implemented a rigorous screening and validation process for all drivers. We understand that safety is a top priority for our riders, and that's why we have put in place a thorough screening process for our drivers, where our riders can trust HOVR and feel confident and comfortable when using our service. According to Milton Brady (HOVR Driver), the arrival of HOVR comes at a time of great driver need for financial wellbeing, in a current rideshare environment where the big 2 take between 35-45% of our ride fare leaving little for the driver. On top of this, most riders never see what the driver actually receives from their ride fare.

HOVR is excited to be a part of the larger Toronto transportation ecosystem, and is working with local govt offices and municipalities to ensure it meets or exceeds city licensing requirements and guidelines.
