What is rider verification?

Rider verification is a security process HOVR may use to help protect riders, drivers, and the platform.

Why does HOVR verify riders?

Verification may help reduce:

• Fraud
• Chargebacks
• Duplicate or fake accounts
• Unsafe activity
• Account misuse

What verification steps might be used?

Depending on the situation, HOVR may ask you to:

• Verify your phone number
• Confirm your email address
• Confirm your payment method
• Complete additional identity verification

Will every rider be asked for additional verification?

No. Most riders can use the app normally after standard account setup.

When might HOVR ask for more verification?

Additional verification may be requested if:

• There are repeated payment failures
• There is unusual account activity
• There is an account recovery request
• There is a trust or safety concern

What if I do not complete verification?

Some account actions may be limited until verification is completed.
