Why a backup payment method was charged
Why a backup payment method was charged
If you notice a charge on a payment method other than your default, it may be because your primary payment method could not be processed for the trip.
When this can happen
- Your primary card was declined (insufficient funds, expired card, or bank block).
- A temporary issue prevented processing on the selected payment method.
- You have a backup payment method on file that was used automatically.
How to prevent this
- Keep your default payment method up to date in the Rider App.
- Remove any backup payment methods you no longer want to use.
- Check that your primary card has not expired.
